Melissa graduated from Colorado State University in May 2009. She brings a lifetime of experience to the team as she grew up on a diverse agriculture farm that consisted of both a dairy and hog operation. A proud 4-H member from the El Paso County program Melissa not only shown cattle, pigs and sheep but she also learned how to evaluate them from great training in livestock judging. Melissa was also a member of the CSU Livestock Judging team and competed nationally at contests such as National Western Stock Show, Houston, National Barrow Show and North American International Livestock Exposition. The Herd Sires will be just one of her many responsibilities with Smith and Associates.
