The fifth generation cattlemen Dean Link of Elizabeth, Colorado is a proud parent of two young Lowline exhibitors. Dean has a great passion towards the beef industry and Lowline breed. Dean’s education from Iowa State and experience working with feed companies including Purina Mills has afforded him the basis and practical experience for feeding and supplementing beef cattle. Past clients have included both cow/calf producers and feed yards up to 100,000 head capacity. Dean’s travels have enhanced his understanding in terms of managing feedstuffs and cattle in different environments. Dean’s complete well-rounded understanding of the beef industry with his knowledge and experience enable him to serve Lowline breeders. Smith and Associates are very proud of Dean’s accomplishments as the coach of the 2008 National Champion 4-H Livestock Judging Team.
